Our Story
When I was 6, my mom taught me how to sew a single stitch by hand to mend a hole in my favorite sweater (with Andy Gibb’s picture).
When I left home for NYC, mom presented me with a brand new Kenmore sewing machine as a going away present.
I think most parents would give a Trader Joe’s gift card or Makita tool kit, but mom knew better and that Kenmore served me well, fueling my love and passion for sewing.
With mom’s skills and fabric knowledge and my background in design and the fashion industry, we combined our keen eye for design, appreciation for furniture restoration, and passion for vintage and unique textiles to create THILI - The Home I Live In.
Together, we help you create “your special space” drawing from your inspiration and desired space.
